Visa Regulations
Requirements for Au Pair
- You are aged between 18 and 30;
- Be able to afford travel expenses
- Not married or have children
- Basic knowledge of Italian
- Health/travel insurance is recommended for au pair
- Visa may be required for non-EU au pairs or extra conditions like sufficient funds to cover your stay
- No contract is compulsory for Italy, however We Hive recommends to use the official EU contract template to formalize daily tasks
Requirements for Family
- There are one or more children between 3 and under 18 living in your home
- The au pair must have her own room
- Family should speak Italian
- Daily working hours should not exceed 30 hours per week
- Au pair is entitled to receive between €250 & 300 Euros per month
- Au Pair should be given enough free time to attend language course
- Allow for some extra spending like mobile phone, insurance, language course
